Cost of borrowing may rise if law firms abandon client accounts, regulators warn

A thousand more law firms exempted from submitting accountants’ reports

SDT blames mySRA problems as it rejects misconduct charges against solicitor

SRA to ask solicitors what they think about misconduct offences

Time for law firms to go back to school, says BPP chief

SRA charts new course that means few firms will need FCA authorisation for consumer credit work
Monday, 29 June 2015The Solicitors Regulation Authority is set to continue regulating most consumer credit activities carried out by law firms after new proposals were issued last week. A consultation said solicitors would be able to carry out mainstream consumer credit activities as long as they are central to the legal services they provide.
