Solicitor struck off for smuggling drugs for inmates
Monday, 30 June 2014A solicitor jailed for smuggling drugs and mobile phones into prisons for inmates was last week struck off by the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal (SDT). He took the contraband into prisons using oversized shoes.

Solicitor struck off after US bribery conviction
Tuesday, 20 May 2014A solicitor has been struck off following his jailing for bribery charges in the US, in what is thought to be the first prosecution brought by the Solicitors Regulation Authority where a solicitor was convicted overseas.

Partners sanctioned over misuse of client money
Thursday, 17 April 2014A Lancashire solicitor has been struck off after misusing more than £400,000 of client monies to prop up her ailing firm. Kimberley Bridge was struck off by the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal this week for nine counts of dishonesty.

Solicitor struck off after misusing money meant for counsel
