SRA to issue guidance after research finds lawyers failing the deaf

All you need to do is part with a measly few hundred quid for some kind of listing and then sit back while the work rolls in. The reality is, of course, somewhat different in some cases.

Law firms “ignoring leads” that come through comparison websites, major report finds
Tuesday, 7 February 2012Law firms are overwhelmingly failing to follow up referrals for basic legal work from comparison websites, in what is described today as a “massive own goal by the profession”. In a mystery shopping exercise, eight out of ten online referral requests for a simple will were ignored.

Lawyers strike back? EU proposals could allow them to complain about clients

Government kicks off review of LSB and Legal Ombudsman's roles

Consumer panel: strip incompetent QCs of their rank as part of bid to improve quality marks
