Barristers and solicitors at loggerheads over QASA
Monday, 5 March 2012Barristers and solicitors are at loggerheads over whether plea-only advocates need to undergo judicial evaluation as part of the Quality Assurance Scheme for Advocates. If a resolution cannot be found, then the whole scheme could fall apart.

Government backs social mobility toolkit for lawyers and other professionals

Goodbye Fellows, hello Chartered Legal Executives
Tuesday, 31 January 2012The Institute of Legal Executives was formally presented with its Royal Charter yesterday, transforming Fellows of the Institute into Chartered Legal Executives. The charter protects the title of ILEX members for the first time.
