PI Futures Conference 2022
25 May 2022 It’s been almost a year since the Official Injury Claim portal went live and already the trends seem clear: 90% of claimants still use a lawyer (the MIB is trying to work out why), only a third of cases are pure tariff claims, 40% of litigants in person claim exceptional circumstances, insurers are more likely to admit liability and causation to litigants in person, and the IT is dodgy, at least for A2A. All the key stakeholders in the portal debated how the first 12 months have gone, and delegates were able to put their concerns and questions directly to a panel of experts. Wealso looked at what the OIC has meant for marketing and medical reporting. Experts discussed how to exit RTA and diversify into other areas of PI. We heard about what makes a successful PI practice and we also looked beyond PI to the burgeoning market in other consumer claims. Should you be moving into data breach, energy mis-selling or any number of other fertile new types of cases? For more Legal Events visit our main events page.
