Solicitors and licensed conveyancers from around the country have voted in the 12th Land Data Local Land Charges Awards for the local authority Local Land Charges team that consistently delivers a high level of customer service. Solicitors were asked to consider quality, efficiency, reliability and value for money when making their choice. 184 votes were received for 54 local authorities, the highest number of local authorities seen since the Awards began 12 years ago.
The national awards, celebrate the work and achievements of local authority Local Land Charges departments which carry out the land and property searches required for conveyancing transactions in England and Wales. The winners were announced at an Awards dinner in Birmingham, hosted by comedian Jo Caulfield.
Arun District Council was awarded the Customer Satisfaction Award for Local Authority Searches and Reigate & Banstead Borough Council was highly commended. The Award category is sponsored by the Coal Authority.
