The Local Land Charges team at Westminster City Council received the highest number of votes from solicitors and licensed conveyancers in the Customer Satisfaction category at last week’s Local Land Charges Awards for Excellence. Solicitors were asked to vote for the local authority Local Land Charges team that consistently deliver high levels of customer service and to consider quality, efficiency, reliability and value for money during the customer journey.
126 votes were received for 50 different local authorities, the finalists are:
Westminster City Council – winner
Arun District Council – highly commended
East Suffolk Council – 3rd place
Reigate & Banstead Borough Council – 4th place
West Devon Borough Council – 5th place
Harrow London Borough Council – 6th place
Monmouthshire County Council – 7th place
Newham London Borough Council – 8th place
Waltham Forest London Borough Council – 9th place
South Northamptonshire Council – 10th place
The award category is sponsored by the Coal Authority. The national awards, celebrate the work and achievements of local authority Local Land Charges departments which carry out the land and property searches required for conveyancing transactions in England and Wales. The winners were announced at an Awards dinner in Birmingham, hosted by comedian Zoe Lyons.
