This 30 November, London Legal Support Trust (in collaboration with Access to Justice Foundation) are inviting you to hold a quiz at your workplace or attend their in-person one in London. With the questions written by a professional TV quiz writer, you can go head- to-head with friends and colleagues to win the much-coveted Great Legal Quiz trophy!
Remember – this is not a legal quiz, it’s only the cause that’s legal. Head of Fundraising at LLST, Bob Nightingale says: “The Great Legal Quiz is great fun. The questions are trivia, not legal, and teams compete with others at their own quiz, as well as teams all over the country doing the same quiz at the same time. There is a trophy for the best team nationally (currently held by the Legal Services Board team). I would really encourage everyone to join in to have fun while raising money for free legal advice charities.”
London Legal Support Trust (LLST) is a charity that fundraises to support free legal advice agencies in London and the South East. All money raised from the quiz goes to frontline legal advice charities who deliver help and support to vulnerable people in desperate need of specialist advice. With the rising cost of living, people are needing help with even more issues including debt, unfair dismissal or discrimination in the workplace, homelessness and families living in unacceptable housing conditions as well as people facing domestic violence, trafficking and labour exploitation.
We have over 40 teams registered to take part around the country, online and in-person on 30 November, with more joining all the time!
Since the Great Legal Quiz started in 2015, over £40,000 has been raised in support of frontline free legal advice agencies. Though the quiz is a fun way to raise funds, it’s also a way to make a real difference.
Signing up couldn’t be simpler. Just head to the LLST website and press ‘sign up’ or ‘join’, depending on whether you want to come along to Ye Olde Cock Tavern on Fleet Street, or you want to run your quiz in the office, or somewhere else!
