Presented by Rob Hailstone, Bold Legal Group
Wednesday 26 April 2017 – 12.00pm
Certainty are delighted to welcome Rob Hailstone of Bold Legal Group. Rob will be hosting this month’s webinar – Why Probate & Conveyancing Make Good Fellow Bedfellow.
Rob Hailstone, an ex-residential property conveyancer with four decades of experience, formed the Bold Legal Group (BLG) in 2010. With the implementation of the Legal Services Act 2007, a new SRA Handbook, CQS and many other issues to deal with, he realised that conveyancing law firms would need an extra pair of ‘ears and eyes’ to make sure they were kept up to date with all important property related issues.
The BLG now has over 600 member firms of all shapes and sizes. Many of the BLG members have thriving probate and Will departments. As well as having a vibrant question and answer forum, BLG members are kept fully informed about all relevant conveyancing issues, including SRA fraud alerts and Law Society Practice Notes, changes to Continual Professional Development, the recent SDLT changes, Land Registry and other consultations and the Governments current attempt at improving the home buying and selling process ‘A Better Deal’.
The BLG has recently launched an ongoing training system, BLGTraining, for its members and is about to introduce an online chat room/forum.
Rob will discuss how firms could unlock the revenue potential in their Wills bank by dealing with it effectively and ensuring they have a beneficial case management system in place. He will also discuss the importance of probate work when it comes to winning more conveyancing instructions.
Rob will also outline the key alliances between the conveyancer and probate practitioner, and how through good communication and transparency this could potentially create new work, from existing work, for your firm and generate more revenue from existing clients.
