Leading outsourced service and legal software provider, Quill, has announced the launch of Quill Type, a new 24-hour managed typing and transcription service, designed to significantly improve turnaround times, reduce costs, enhance document quality and strengthen security for law firms.
Quill Type is the latest outsourced offering to be launched under the Quill banner, joining Pinpoint – an SRA Accounts Rules-proficient outsourced cashiering service – and Payroll – a HMRC-approved outsourced payroll service. In addition to its outsourced services, the Quill portfolio includes Interactive, a complete practice management and legal accounts software solution.
The delivery of Quill Type will be supported by Document Direct, a preeminent UK supplier of digital dictation transcription and secretarial services. As a legal industry specialist, Document Direct is the only provider of its kind officially endorsed by the Law Society of England and Wales while also being accredited to the internationally recognised ISO 27001 standard for information security management system. As such, the business has a strong track record in the provision of high-quality, cost-effective, quick and confidential typing and transcription services to law firms.
The Quill Type service has been devised to drastically shorten documentation production times and save money for Quill’s clients while also delivering improvements to accuracy and security. As a 24-hour, 7-day-a-week service, Quill Type will allow fee earners to receive their dictated work back as typed documents quickly and at all times of the day, to suit their workflow needs. This additional layer of administration support will ensure client expectations are met and exceeded, thereby enhancing service levels.
The outsourced typing service replaces the requirement to hire additional temporary or permanent staff, which obviously increases overheads, giving users the chance to instead save up to 60% compared to current in-house costs. By outsourcing their typing and transcription to Quill Type, law firms can also free up expensive office space and valuable time for fee earning and other higher value activities.
Commenting on the launch of Quill Type, Julian Bryan, Managing Director of Quill said, “Our range of outsourcing services continues to set us apart from other suppliers in the legal market as we’re the only company who can genuinely claim to be a one-stop-shop for everything service and software related, and Quill Type will further reinforce our dominant position. We pride ourselves on being at the very heart of performance and compliance for our end users and Quill Type will support this by giving law firms the ability to provide even better services, operate more efficiently and reduce overhead costs, all in a fully compliant manner. At a time when desk space is at a premium – current estimates put the cost per desk in London at more than £16,000 for instance – Quill Type can enable clients to save huge amounts of both money and time without sacrificing quality and security.”
Martyn Best, CEO of Document Direct added, “We are thrilled to be supporting the delivery of Quill Type and to be associated with Quill, an innovative and market-leading business that, like us, is focused on helping clients to streamline their operations and increase profitability.”
Quill Type will be available to Quill clients from 1st February 2018
