The winners of the 11th Land Data Local Land Charges Awards for Excellence were announced at a ceremony hosted by radio and television presenter Lisa Snowdon.
The national awards recognise the work and achievements of local authority Local Land Charges departments which carry out the land and property searches required for conveyancing transactions in England and Wales.
The Award sponsors are the Local Land Charges Institute, SearchFlow, Index PI and the National Land Information Service (NLIS).
The Awards cover eight categories recognising customer satisfaction, best customer experience, most improved NLIS service, best NLIS Local Land Charges department, the Unsung Hero, the Local Land Charges Officer of the year and the Local Authority searches team of the year. A winner and a highly commended for each category were chosen by a panel of judges from Land Data, the Local Land Charges Institute and the National Land Information Service (NLIS). 154 representatives from Local Authority Local Land Charges teams across the country attended the event.
“It’s a privilege to host these Awards as they allow us to recognise the vision and excellent work of Local Land Charges teams and the vital contribution they make to their communities.” Said Jan Boothroyd, Land Data’s Chief Executive. “The standard of entries was again very high this year and it’s great to see the dedication to customer service, effective collaboration across departments and a strong commitment to fast electronic service delivery increasing every year.”
