By Legal Futures’ Associate CILEx
Linsey McDonald CILEx, who is also an Associate at Switalskis in Wakefield, has been voted Family Law Chartered Legal Executive of the Year. She was presented with the title at the 2019 Family Law Awards ceremony in London last month.
The Chartered Legal Executive of the Year award category aims to identify ‘an individual who the family law community recognises as having demonstrated excellence in their role’. The winner is then chosen by their peers.
Linsey joined Switalskis in October 2007 and became a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives in June 2008. She was one of the first members of staff to be awarded Associate status after completing Switalskis’s Associate Development Programme.
Linsey has specialised in family law for a number of years and has a wide range of experience in dealing with divorce, children matters and of obtaining emergency injunctions in domestic violence cases.
Clare Peckett, director and head of family law at Switalskis, comments: ‘We’re all delighted for Linsey. This award is very well-deserved and reflects the hard work and determination she’s put in for a number of years now. I was particularly pleased to hear the judges describe Linsey as a future leader and I couldn’t agree more. She regularly goes beyond her job role to help other people and the wider business. Not only does she take great care of her clients, she has demonstrated an understanding of the business and the legal sector that will make her a very effective leader.’
