From Legal Futures’ Associate First4Lawyers.
First4Lawyers, the UK’s largest independent marketing collective, has today unveiled a multi-strand partnership with Huddersfield University to enhance understanding on a range of issues.
Separately it has become a corporate member of road safety charity Brake.
Partnering with the Forensics Department at its hometown university, First4Lawyers will be working with West Yorkshire Police, the Forensic Testing Service and one of its panel law firms to look at how forensic science has had an impact on the investigation of drink and drug-related offences over the last 50 years.
This project will be the first of many joint initiatives as First4Lawyers and the University look to utilise their specialist knowledge to grow this partnership and look at other areas of expertise.
Andy Cullwick, Head of Marketing at First4Lawyers, says: “We welcome the opportunity to work so closely with such a wonderful institution and believe the outcome of our work will shed light on a range of issues that will help the community engage more knowledgeably with the justice system and life planning.”
Sophie Turfus, one of the lecturers in the Forensics Department, says: “We are proud that our students will gain a real insight into the relevance of forensic sciences in our country by working on this collaborative project. We hope that this will be the start of a long and fruitful relationship with such a prestigious local company.”
Meanwhile, as a corporate partner of Brake, First4Lawyers is donating towards its work supporting people bereaved and seriously injured in road crashes. Over the course of the next 12 months, First4Lawyers will be using this relationship to support a range of projects, some of which shall be specifically in and around Road Safety Week.
Mike Bristow, senior corporate fundraiser at Brake, says: “Brake is delighted that First4Lawyers has committed to supporting the charity, and to raising awareness about road safety. I applaud their dedication to supporting road crash victims, and passion for improving road safety. Their efforts are a fantastic example of how companies can get involved to improve road safety and Brake looks forward to a long-lasting partnership with First4Lawyers.”
Qamar Anwar, Managing Director at First4Lawyers, adds: “This is a great opportunity for us to support a charity which is right on our door step. Brake are an incredibly important organisation and do amazing work all around the UK. Our team are already in discussions with Brake to run a number of major awareness campaigns throughout the next 12 months particularly focusing on road safety in under 18s and we look forward to also being heavily involved with other safety initiatives throughout the year.”
