In September 2018, Certainty the National Will Register will be launching a new and exciting opportunity for contentious probate solicitors.
The Certainty Contentious Probate Hub & Certainty Contentious Probate Area.
The aim of these new areas is to drive traffic to contentious probate solicitors following a Certainty Will Search and through interaction with non-contentious probate solicitors who are members of Certainty.
Two main components:
- Will searches that lead to a contentious situation
- Circa 5,500 Certainty members that are non-contentious probate solicitors looking to refer contentious probate work to a safe pair of hands when they encounter it
Every year thousands of Certainty Will Searches are undertaken by the public (executors, beneficiaries and people that are not happy in the way in which an estate is being distributed) and the legal profession. At least 1 in 10 of these searches locates an unknown Will i.e a later Will, a Will that was thought never to have existed or a Will that is claimed not to exist.
A Certainty Will Search checks the National Will Register® that has 7.7million Will records in the system and also searches geographically for Wills that have not been registered amongst law firms and Will writers.
These Will finds can and do result in contentious probate situations becoming evident.
The Certainty Contentious Probate Hub & Certainty Contentious Probate Area will appear on the National Will Register® public facing site and the back-office area used by solicitors.
These two new areas provide many benefits for the contentious probate solicitor as a go to destination following a Certainty Will Search, for people who need advice on a potential dispute situation or non-contentious solicitors who wish to source a local contentious probate solicitor.
